Description
KEY FACTS
- This Porsche 911 Targa is an iconic classic, presented in a handsome colour scheme and benefiting from some cosmetic refurbishment.
- It is powered by a 2.7-litre naturally aspirated flat-six engine, driving the rear wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox.
- First registered in January 1975, this is a UK-delivered example. The HPI report indicates prior registration overseas, which is assumed to relate to its current location in Northern Ireland.
- The seller states that the car is a matching-numbers example.
- The odometer shows 108,692 miles, which the seller believes to be the genuine total.
EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES
- This Targa is finished in Silver paintwork over a Red and Black re-upholstered interior with Porsche script cloth seat inserts.
- Equipment includes manual windows, heating and ventilation controls, and a Blaupunkt radio/cassette player.
- Accompanied by a Porsche Driver's Manual and Maintenance Record, service and maintenance receipts, an extensive list of Porsche and specialist receipts for new parts, numerous MOT test certificates dating back to 1979, and two keys.
CONDITION
- Please refer to the photo gallery to assess the exterior and interior condition.
- Specific notes from the seller include: The car had a glass-out respray April 2022 with correct 'VW Silver' paint code, and new front and rear screen rubbers were used on the reassembly, pictures included. The Targa roof received a full refurbishment by Lakewell in Belgium, and after this all rubber seals and gaskets were replaced, with the majority coming from Porsche Belfast. The car has had an interior retrim, including the seats in original colour vinyl (minus the special-order Porsche script cloth centres), new door cards, parcel shelf in the same matching vinyl and colour-coded speaker grills. It also has newly trimmed door bins in synthetic suede, and a full set of carpets.
- The car is understood to be exempt from mandatory MOT testing.
SERVICE HISTORY
- The seller states that it was most recently serviced in April 2026 at 108,670 miles, which included new spark plugs and leads, plus an oil and filter service.
- The seller states that between 2018 and 2022, the car had extensive chassis remedial work to previous poor repairs, including around rear suspension components, with this refurbishment evidenced by receipts on file.
- Other work carried out included new alternator bearings, cam chain tensioner rebuilds to factory specification, and the oil pressure modification used on the 930s to increase top-end oil pressure, carried out by a mechanic who previously did contract work for DP Motorsport to customer 935 K3s.
- The exhaust is a custom straight-through system improving flow compared to Danske boxes. The pre-silencer pipes have also been wrapped in heat shielding.
- The seller notes that the fuel pump has also been recently replaced, the oil tank was removed and flushed out, a new level sender fitted, and then repainted.
- The engine bay has had a refresh with correct ducting installed, both the paper-covered air heat ducts and the fan ducting pipe.
- The stamped service book evidences early history, and the photo gallery also shows extensive receipts and invoices showing maintenance throughout the car's life.
