The Appeal
The Series III was the last of the original leaf-sprung Land Rovers, a lineage that stretches back to 1948. They are the most developed and dare we say "refined" of the Series line, and therefore the most usable on modern roads. It has long been cherished for its mechanical simplicity, rugged construction and unmatched character.
This striking 1978 example benefits from recent maintenance carried out by the current owner since acquiring it in early 2025. It is reported to have been reliable and hassle-free throughout their ownership. This is a Series III with real working character: a practical, usable classic that invites you to jump in, bring the dog, and simply enjoy it.
