Description

KEY FACTS

  • This Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R is a highly modified example of the ‘giant-killing’ modern classic Japanese performance car, which was rebuilt by Ron Kiddell’s RK Tuning in Rochford.
  • Under the bonnet is the twin-turbocharged ‘RB26DETT’ straight-six, which the seller states has been modified with a full Tomei ‘2.8-litre’ (2738cc) engine block and bottom (reported to be producing 750hp on low boost) making this an ‘RB28DETT’, with a large single precision 64/66 reverse flow turbo. This drives all four wheels via a five-speed manual transmission. First registered in Japan in July 1990, it was imported to the UK and re-registered with the DVLA in November 2021. It has had two UK owners.
  • The odometer shows 7,269 miles, though the total mileage is not known. Its export certificate from Japan shows an odometer reading of 67,800 km in 2008. The car has covered only around 2,400 miles since being fully rebuilt by RK Tuning, with the first 1,000 miles of this being used to run in the engine.

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

  • This R32 GT-R features a stitch-welded chassis and various fibreglass panels, and the seller notes that this style of stitch welding and roll cage were often used in Japanese touring car racing. It is finished in white and rides on a set of 18-inch BBS Y-spoke split-rim alloy wheels, wrapped in Nankang AR1 tyres.
  • The cabin features two Bride bucket seats, a set of safety harnesses, a quick-release three-spoke, original Momo steering wheel, a roll cage, a Sard Stack ST8130 dash unit, a Pioneer head unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a Nismo gear knob.
  • The seller states that engine modifications include a Tomei 2.8-litre engine block and bottom, a Japspeed radiator, Wiseco pistons, forged rods, a nitride-coated crank, a ported and polished head, ARP head studs, Supertech valves and springs, a Precision 64/66 reverse-flow turbocharger, an ARTEC Performance exhaust manifold, an N1 intake manifold, a Tomei trigger kit, a Link G4+ ECU and a four-inch GReddy titanium exhaust.
  • They also note that the engine is fueled by 1,100cc injectors, twin Walbro in-tank pumps, a Tomei fuel regulator and a Tomei fuel rail.
  • The drivetrain reportedly consists of a Nismo shift linkage, OS Giken first-to-fourth gears, custom driveshafts, a Kaaz two-way limited-slip differential, magnesium alloy hubs, an OS Giken triple-plate clutch, a HICAS lockout kit, and a rebuilt ATTESA four-wheel drive system.
  • Braking has been enhanced with carbon-padded Alcon touring car callipers (six-pot front and four-pot rear) and braided lines while the suspension incorporates Endless Zeal coilovers and a full polybush kit.
  • Several other components have been upgraded including the radiator and oil cooler, and a four-inch thick intercooler has been fitted.
  • Accompanying the vehicle will be its Japanese export certificate, the V5C, build diary and its original Tomei Reytec ECU. A specification sheet on the rebuild is also on file from RK Tuning, and Ron has stated he is happy to be contacted to discuss the build.

CONDITION

  • Please refer to the photo gallery to assess the exterior and interior condition.
  • Specific notes from the seller include: a bare-chassis respray was done when the car was rebuilt; there is a small scratch on the front-left wing; the air vents are non-functioning due to the climate control system being removed.
  • The most recent MOT test was on 19 June 2025 at an indicated 7,154 miles, which was a first-time pass with three advisories to monitor a noisy exhaust and worn rear tyres. The tyres have reportedly been replaced since then.
