The Appeal
The GT is undoubtedly the more intriguing of the two MGB offerings, boasting a practical Pininfarina-designed hatchback hard top on top of the model's brilliant drivetrain and Italianate looks. These cars are straightforward and affordable to run, offering immense enjoyment even if you're new to the world of classic cars or trying to own one on a tight budget.
This 1969 chrome bumper example benefits from a restoration completed in late 2015, and since acquiring the car in 2023 the current owner has carried out a number of further improvements.
The vendor notes that the nearside rear sill will need attention in due course and the heater is believed not to be working, but otherwise this MGB GT presents very well and is reported to start, run, and drive as it should.
