Overview
Few cars arrive with as much backstory as a Mustang. Built continuously since 1964, with more than ten million made, Ford's pony car is history on wheels. The sixth-generation S550 added a new chapter in 2015, as the first right-hand-drive Mustang sold officially in the UK.
Designed under Brit Moray Callum, the S550 came as a Fastback or a convertible. The GT gets the 5.0-litre Coyote V8: 410bhp, naturally aspirated and driving the rear wheels, a recipe that needs no translation on a British B-road. Add a strong owner community and servicing costs that look modest next to the performance, and it's easy to see the appeal.
This one's a 2017 GT Fastback with the six-speed automatic, and it's covered just 29,674 miles. The dark grey metallic paint, black stripes and 302 graphics give it real presence, its engine bay looks standard and the cabin is properly kitted out. Recent servicing and a fresh MOT back it all up.
So, fancy a V8 GT that looks the business straight off the drive with miles low enough to enjoy without fretting? You've found it. We think it's a cracking example, and one that's begging to be driven.

Interior
Right-hand-drive cockpit with a leather steering wheel wearing the pony badge, gearshift paddles and multifunction cruise controls
Black leather seats with perforated centres and grey contrast stitching; the fronts are electrically adjustable
Heated and cooled front seats, controlled from the climate panel
SYNC 3 touchscreen with sat nav, DAB radio, phone and apps menus, all shown working
Shaker premium audio, with a subwoofer in the side of the boot
Brushed aluminium-effect dash, chrome-ringed vents and a "Mustang Since 1964" plaque
Toggle switches and a red Engine Start/Stop button for the keyless start; the auto-dimming mirror and overhead lights work
Rear seats in matching black perforated leather with ISOFIX points and only light natural creasing
Door cards with stitched-pleat inserts look free of marks
Illuminated-style MUSTANG sill plates, with light scuffs on the offside plate from getting in and out
Driver's seat base shows creasing and some surface wear to the leather, though no tears; a leather clean and feed could improve it
Boot carpet is clean, with some light surface marks and dirt on the boot well floor
Tyre inflation kit still sealed in its wrapper; there's no spare wheel
The vendor tells us everything inside works perfectly
Exterior
Grey metallic paint with black twin stripes over the bonnet and roof
Hockey-stick "302" graphics in black on both front wings, with black 5.0 badges (red detail) and GT wing badges
Black front splitter, side skirt extensions and rear diffuser
Twin large round exhaust tips, one each side
Paintwork looks smart in the photographs
Panel gaps look even across the majority of the car
Small stone chip on the bonnet leading edge above the nearside headlight
Rear diffuser has a small scuff on its lower edge, to the right of the centre fog lamp
Light swirl marks are visible in places in the paint; a detail would freshen it up
19-inch gloss-black multi-spoke alloys with pony centre caps; the photographed rims look free of kerbing
Pirelli P Zero tyres, 255/40 ZR19 front and 275/40 ZR19 rear
Red Brembo six-piston front calipers
LED headlights with tri-bar daytime running lights, tri-bar LED rear lights and electric mirrors with puddle lamps
Front and rear parking sensors plus a reversing camera
Underside shows light surface corrosion on steel brackets, fixings, exhaust hangers and sill seams, typical of age
Plastic undertrays carry light scratches, with no leaks visible in the photographs
The vendor tells us the exterior is near immaculate, with one or two small dents and chips on very close inspection
Mechanical
5.0-litre Coyote V8, 32-valve and naturally aspirated
410bhp and 390lb ft, good for 0-62mph in 4.8 seconds and 155mph
6-speed automatic gearbox with steering-wheel paddles
Rear-wheel drive with a limited-slip differential and independent multi-link rear suspension
Last serviced in June 2026 at 28,216 miles (full service)
Engine bay looks standard and tidy, with no visible leaks
The vendor tells us there are no mechanical issues
According to the vendor, it starts first time, the brakes are still incredibly sharp and it sounds exactly like a V8 should
