The Appeal

The Ford 100E holds a special place in the hearts of classic Ford enthusiasts. Its compact, handsome lines and lightweight construction have long made it a popular candidate for performance upgrades, and a Pinto-powered 100E is one of the most rewarding ways to enjoy this iconic small Ford.

This 1961 example has been fitted with a 2.0-litre Pinto engine, recently rebuilt with an unleaded head and fed by twin Weber 40 carburettors. A five-speed manual gearbox has been installed to complement the engine, and brand new brake lines with a bias valve have been fitted. The vendor reports that the engine starts and runs well, and describes the car as great fun to drive and a practical, usable classic.
The vendor says:
"Great fun to drive, practical and usable classic with plenty of room for further modifications and customisation entirely as the new user would like it, but also perfectly useable and enjoyable in its current state."
