Description

  • Believed to be a genuine Broadspeed-developed Anglia 105E built around a bespoke box-section spaceframe chassis rather than a standard production shell
  • Extensively modified body and shell to accommodate a substantial gearbox tunnel, bespoke suspension and a high revving Twin-Cam engine
  • Front-end fitted with Lotus-derived double wishbone suspension, adjustable coil-overs and a shortened rack for precision and adjustability
  • Benefits from a disc brake conversion to provide stopping power in line with performance
  • Powered by a Fiat 1600 Twin-Cam from a 1968 124 Spider, now on motorcycle carburettors and delivering a reported 175bhp
  • Engine sits low and well set back in the chassis for improved balance and weight distribution
  • Transmission is a modified Ford 2000E gearbox with Edmonton Tool & Engineering internals
  • Supplied with an excellent history file including period racing history, an old MSA Competition Logbook, period photographs, hand-written notes and numerous invoices
  • Lightweight, uncompromising and race-ready, suitable for historic motorsport, hill climbs or as a rare and fascinating piece of modified Ford history
  • A raw and rare slice of British motorsport engineering with excellent provenance and remarkable value
