The Appeal
When it hit the market, the P5 joined an ongoing revolution - a revolution of what a British car could be. The UK marques were finally hiking their ideas up post-war, leaving their pre-50s designs where they belonged and getting to work on whole new product lines. The P5 became the de facto luxury saloon for dignitaries, celebrities and politicians alike in short order, with its smooth straight-six and slick automatic transmission becoming a familiar-sounding refrain for the Ritz Hotel and Carnaby Street.
This particular 1960 example stands out for its remarkable originality and provenance, having been cherished by just five registered keepers over its 65-year lifespan. With its original registration number UUN 620 still intact and a wealth of documented history, it's a fine car that's ready and waiting for its next keeper.
