The Appeal
The Rover P5 is one of the great British saloons of the post-war era. Launched in 1958, its combination of a smooth 3.0-litre inline-six, dignified styling by David Bache, and a refined interior saw it become the transport of choice for prime ministers and senior civil servants alike. Early examples such as this 1960 car, fitted with the four-speed manual gearbox, are an increasingly uncommon sight.
Our P5 is accompanied by a comprehensive history file and has featured in several magazine articles over the years. Having been the subject of an older restoration, it presents well throughout. Purchased in 2025 as a wedding car for the vendor's daughter, it has since been garaged and is now offered reluctantly for sale due to a house move leaving the vendor without storage.
