The Appeal

By 1994, it was generally accepted that the Range Rover Classic was reaching the end of its production life. The swan song came with the soft dash and an improved cabin, making for a comfortable, luxurious transitional model that was ushered out in 1996 when the new P38 arrived. As a result, this is one of the more in-demand Classic Rangies from the family.

Originally supplied to the Japanese market, this 1994 Soft Dash Range Rover was imported to the UK before the current owner acquired it in 2015 from 4 Star Classics, specifically for use as a wedding car. It has remained in the same hands ever since.

Over more than a decade of ownership, the owner has spent approximately £15,800 maintaining and preserving the car, with much of the work entrusted to Kingsley Cars, a well-regarded Range Rover Classic specialist. That expenditure is notable and includes mechanical overhauls, electrical work, and corrosion repairs.

The vendor has favoured preservation and originality over cosmetic restoration, and the car presents as an honest, well-kept example rather than a freshly restored one. It has been used predominantly in dry conditions and stored indoors throughout the current ownership. Having been off the road since its last MOT in 2022, it will need some recommissioning before returning to the road, but it's a superb starting point.
