Description

Background:

Introduced in 1994, the DB7 represented an important new chapter for Aston Martin and became one of the most successful models in the company's history. Its elegant Ian Callum styling combined traditional Aston Martin cues with a thoroughly modern shape, and the model remained in production for a decade.

A significant development arrived in 1999 with the introduction of the DB7 Vantage and its new 5.9-litre V12. Producing 420bhp in standard form, it transformed the character and performance of the DB7 and was available with either a manual gearbox or, as fitted to the example offered here, automatic transmission.

With its front-mounted V12, rear-wheel drive and beautifully proportioned two-door bodywork, the DB7 Vantage remained very much a traditional British grand tourer, combining considerable performance with a richly appointed cabin and genuine long-distance ability.

The Car:

Dating from 2001, this DB7 Vantage Automatic has covered 65,925 miles and is classically finished in Mendip Blue over a striking Aston interior in Ivory and Antrim Blue leather.

It's accompanied by a documented service history, with maintenance carried out over the years by Aston Martin specialists and, more recently, Aston Martin Bristol. The recorded history shows diligent maintenance between 2007 and 2022, followed by another specialist service in October 2025.

Documented servicing includes:

  • 23/08/2007 – 30,811 miles – Aston Martin specialist
  • 22/04/2008 – 34,562 miles – Aston Martin specialist
  • 20/04/2009 – 35,500 miles – Aston Martin specialist
  • 16/06/2010 – 39,979 miles – Aston Martin specialist
  • 12/11/2012 – 42,157 miles – Aston Martin specialist
  • 27/05/2015 – 42,634 miles – Aston Martin specialist
  • 09/05/2018 – 43,072 miles – Aston Martin specialist
  • 31/05/2019 – 44,951 miles – Aston Martin Bristol
  • 25/06/2020 – 46,175 miles – Aston Martin Bristol
  • 25/06/2022 – 50,796 miles – Aston Martin Bristol
  • 30/10/2025 – 64,438 miles – Aston Martin specialist

The most recent recorded service was therefore completed approximately 1,500 miles ago, providing useful evidence of continued maintenance as the mileage has increased in recent years.

Condition:

The car presents well overall for its age and 65,295 miles, although there are some cosmetic imperfections to note. There is a scrape to the driver's side rear quarter and a number of marks to the alloy wheels. These have been photographed and prospective bidders are encouraged to study the accompanying images carefully when assessing the car's cosmetic condition. Naturally, further fair wear and tear should be expected commensurate with a car now 25 years old and having covered 65,295 miles.

Perhaps the most reassuring aspect of this DB7 is its documented maintenance record, with 11 recorded service visits spanning 2007 to 2025 and including periods of maintenance with Aston Martin Bristol as well as marque specialists.

With its 400bhp 5.9-litre V12, stylish colour combination and comparatively low mileage, this is an appealing example of Aston Martin's landmark grand tourer.
