Overview
The fact that Bentley's venerable Continental GT has remained in continuous production since its inception way back in 2002 speaks volumes as to the car's inherent appeal and it remains an excellent luxury performance grand tourer. Perennially the driver's favourite of the Bentley range, the Conti GT has been consistently refined and developed over the years, culminating in the current crop of Hybrid models, but the third generation stands out as a particular highlight.
It may look familiar, which is a good thing, but the third-gen has a lot more going on under that beautifully sculpted Super Formed body. For a start it's lighter and features an extended wheelbase with a trick roll-control system and better weight distribution meaning the handling is greatly improved over previous incarnations. There's plenty of tech, too, but it doesn't feel intrusive like a lot of current cars, instead it all helps to improve the Bentley's drive-ability and efficiency.
Engine-wise there's still both the W12 and V8 available but for true cross-continental mile-munching the W12 arguably takes the cake. New and improved and with 626bhp there's more than enough power for most situations and a three-and-a-half second 0-60mph time is certainly achievable under the right conditions, but the car still manages to blend exhilaration and relaxation in perfect quantities.
This low mileage 2019 example has covered less than 5K miles a year since new and presents in wonderful condition throughout. Presented in a desirable colourway of silver over burgundy leather the car looks suitably opulent and is reportedly running well. Complete with service history indicating regular inspections the car appears to have been well-maintained.

Summary
Still a benchmark for comfort but with enough power to blow most socks off, the Bentley Continental GT has very much earned its revered status and this third-gen W12 coupe is a very fine example of the marque. Well-presented and recently serviced, it's ready to take you wherever you need to go in an abundance of luxury and really rather quickly.
