The Appeal

Based on the long-lived XJ-S platform, the X100-generation XK8 marked Jaguar's confident return to the grand tourer segment, pairing a sonorous V8 with elegant lines that echoed the legendary E-Type. By 2005, the model had benefited from years of development, with the refined 4.2-litre engine and smooth six-speed automatic gearbox representing the culmination of the X100's evolution before the arrival of its X150 successor.
