The M100-generation Lotus Elan S2 was the swansong of a short-lived but much-admired featherweight sports legend, produced in limited numbers during a brief revival of production in 1994–95. With its turbocharged 1,588cc engine, pop-up headlights, and convertible roof, it was an open-aired, front-wheel-drive machine with an almost single-minded focus.
