Overview
The third-generation WRX STI wears its intent plainly, and frankly we love it for that. Its 2.5-litre EJ25 flat-four pulls hard from low revs and keeps pulling right up to the redline, with that familiar boxer burble providing the soundtrack. Symmetrical all-wheel drive delivers a clawing grip you have to feel to believe, and sweet, talkative steering makes every B-road a special stage.
The saloon body adds plenty of presence, with flared arches, a bonnet scoop and a squat stance giving it a purposeful look from every angle. Then there's this car, a JDM A-Line, which is the grown-up, everyday STI of the family. It pairs that turbocharged punch with a five-speed auto and paddles, so it's as happy in Monday traffic as chasing apexes on Sunday.
Plasma Blue paint over a camel leather cabin is a classy and slightly unexpected combination, and it suits the car's character beautifully. With just a small boot-lip spoiler and no big wing, only those in the know will clock what it is until you squeeze the throttle. Call it a sleeper with manners, and a properly comfortable, properly quick one at that.
First registered in Japan in September 2013, it spent its first five years being stamped by the same Subaru dealer in Fukuoka. Today it presents in fine fettle, with a deep gloss on the paintwork and a cabin that's clearly been well looked after. Add a fresh MOT with no advisories ever recorded, and it's ready to be driven and enjoyed right away.

Interior
Cabin is clean and well kept, with the dashboard, door cards, centre console and switchgear unmarked
Camel perforated leather upholstery with black side panels and embossed STI logos on the front seat backs
Driver's seat outer cushion and backrest bolsters show some crazing of the leather finish and some colour loss; a leather specialist could revive them, we suspect
Passenger seat and rear bench show light creasing only
Two-tone camel and black leather steering wheel with paddle shifters
Heated front seats and automatic climate control
Factory glass sunroof
Pioneer touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and DAB; the vendor tells us everything works
Reversing camera
Push-button start and keyless entry
Headlining is clean and taut with no sagging
Carpets and STI floor mats are clean
Instrument cluster reads in km/h; the vendor tells us he uses a plug-in converter and Waze for mph
Boot carpet is clean and the underfloor tool tray holds the Subaru tool pouch and jack handle, though some recesses are empty
Japanese warning labels throughout, which is a nice nod to the car's JDM heritage
Exterior
Plasma Blue paint holds a deep gloss on the flanks, roof and boot
Even panel gaps and consistent reflections across the majority of the car
Small boot-lip spoiler and no big rear wing keep the sleeper look intact
A scattering of small stone chips on the bonnet, plus light peppering on the front bumper corners and lower lip
Bonnet scoop edges are slightly faded
Headlight lenses are slightly hazy and would benefit from a polish
Black grille surround and door mirror bases are weathered
Clear protective film ahead of both rear arches has crazed and could be peeled off and replaced
Fine scratches at the leading edge of the nearside rear arch
18-inch forged STI alloys show paint flaking on the spokes and rim lipsand would benefit from a refurb
Hankook Ventus S1 evo 245/40ZR18 tyres
Undertray and underseal are intact and the sills are solid; light surface corrosion on the rear subframe fixings and centre exhaust pipe
Mechanical
2.5-litre turbocharged EJ257 flat-four producing 296bhp
5-speed automatic with paddle shifters and SI-Drive modes
Symmetrical all-wheel drive
Top-mount intercooler and STI strut brace
Engine is standard with no modifications, according to the vendor
Vendor tells us it starts, runs and drives smoothly with a subtle burble and has reportedly only been run on Shell V-Power in the UK
MOT passed in September 2026 with no advisories
