The Appeal

The Smart brand channelled Mercedes-Benz-level engineering excellence into the subcompact segment. The venture spawned some truly remarkable cars, even if not as commercially successful as Mercedes had hoped. One such brilliant city runabout was the Fortwo, and here we have a smart (if you'll pardon the pun) example of the range-topping Prime Premium T Auto, featuring a 0.9-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a "Twinamic" dual-clutch automatic transmission.
With a mere 11,937 miles under its belt, our Smart has done very little work, and benefits from several choice options, including Active Brake Assist and Tridion Black paintwork. Its condition is very good overall, aside from some superficial parking scrapes, with the interior being a particular highlight. The car has never accrued a single MOT fail or even any advisory items, and the vendor offers to submit it for testing upon auction end, ready for its next custodian.

Key Information

  • Mileage: 11,937 miles (warranted by service history)
  • Country of registration: UK
  • MOT status: valid to 14th June 2026 (vendor offers to renew upon auction end)
  • Technical specs: 0.9-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol, six-speed Twinamic auto
  • Paperwork: V5C, book pack, service invoice dated August 2024
  • Notice to bidders: the vendor does not have access to the car's digital service book (DSB), but expects older services to be available via Smart/Mercedes-Benz records

The Detail

  • Optional equipment: Active Brake Assist and Tridion Black paint
  • OEM alloy wheels shod with Kumho tyres
  • Glossy paintwork in presentable order with a few parking scrapes which can be studied in the photographs
  • The car's interior is a particular highlight, showing minimal wear in line with low mileage
  • No MOT advisories ever accrued during the car's lifetime

BEFORE YOU BUY

This sale is subject to the Car & Classic Terms and Conditions. By bidding and/or making an offer, you also agree to the following:

✓ The seller is registered as a private seller which means consumer rights stemming from EU consumer protection law do not come into effect. However, you are still covered by Car & Classic’s own Terms and Conditions..

✓ We request that a non-refundable fee be paid if you are the lucky winning bidder at auction or if your offer is accepted Please refer to our helpful FAQs and T&Cs for specific rates.

✓ This vehicle is “Sold As Seen”, on an “As Is Where Is’ basis and without warranty. Photos and descriptions are solely for guidance purposes and it's customary to carry out a full inspection of the vehicle prior to purchase for your own peace of mind.

✓ VAT is included in the buyer's fee. VAT may or may not be included in the final bid or offer price, as specified in the listing.

✓ We want a smooth transaction just as much as you do and as such we run all UK-registered cars and motorbikes for sale on Car & Classic through an online HPI check to verify that they show no insurance database markers for damage or theft, and have no finance owing, allowing you to bid with confidence.

✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.

✓ Buyers are responsible for vehicle collection

or delivery. Importing vehicles may result in additional customs duties and import taxes so it's worth checking beforehand. It is the bidders responsibility to confirm import eligibility prior to purchase.
