The Appeal
The Chimaera is a fast car - a very fast car. It's one of the most single-minded, characterful roadsters built in Britain, with blistering straight-line performance and a sonorous roar that can stir the soul of even the most jaded motorist. It's raw, unfiltered, and yet styled with a pleasing, curvy line that's very amicable. Is it any wonder we're continuing the love affair more than thirty years later.
This 1998 example has been in its current keeper's hands since October 2021, during which time it has been maintained by a TVR Heritage garage. The car received a full respray in 2023 finished in striking Iris Nebula chameleon paint, which only adds layers of character to an already iconic machine.
Having been used daily for the first year of current ownership, it has since been garage stored. The vendor reports that it sounds glorious and has proven itself a reliable companion. Included in the sale are useful spares such as a set of new carpets and spare tyres. It's a great prospect, and thanks to that attractive livery, guaranteed to stand out from the crowd.
