The Appeal

Often described as a "warm hatch", the Volkswagen Golf GT bridges the gap nicely between the sporting GTI and a regular Golf. Perhaps the term "warm" is a tad unfair, since 0-60mph is dispatched in just 7.9 seconds thanks to the fitment of both a supercharger and turbocharger to the GT's 1.4-litre petrol engine.
