The Appeal

The Ford Zephyr is a car of multi-tiered importance. For one, it was the last car independently designed by Ford of Britain, and it was also the first mass-produced British cars to use MacPherson struts, which set these executive motors as one of the best developed models on the market.
The first iterations of the Zephyr got a mixed reaction, but they moved to improve just in time for the Mark 3, which rapidly gained a reputation for being the best of the lineage, and it was drastically restyled with a slightly less American-centric styling.
This 1963 example stands out as a "Police Inspector" higher-specification model, boasting a more handsome trim with superior equipment. It's recently undergone a comprehensive professional restoration, costing in excess of £40,000, transforming it from a project car into a classic that combines period aesthetics with modern performance upgrades.
Having covered just 2,000 miles since its professional rebuild, boasting a new MOT passed with no advisories, this Zephyr offers a thoroughly rejuvenated car in classic clothing. Not one to be missed!
