The Appeal

The Daimler Double Six sat at the very top of the Series III XJ-based Daimler range, pairing Jaguar's 5.3-litre V12 with Daimler's traditional emphasis on luxury and refinement. With its fluted grille, plush leather interior, and smooth power delivery, the Double Six was incredibly comfortable and refined while providing plenty of performance for the well-to-do motorist.

This 1986 example in Steel Blue with Doeskin leather was originally supplied by Stratstone of Mayfair to European Ferries Group Ltd. The current keeper purchased the car in 2002 and has owned it for nearly 24 years, keeping it garaged in a dry barn throughout. It was used sparingly around London before being placed into dry storage in 2007 at 112,558 miles and has only recently returned to the road following a recommissioning.

Following the recommissioning, the car passed its MOT in February 2026. The vendor describes the driving experience as smooth, with surefooted handling and strong mid-range acceleration - ready and waiting for its lucky new keeper.
