Overview
The Plus 4 name goes back to 1950, when "Plus" meant more grunt than the 4/4 of 1936. The 2005-20 car is the last of the traditionally chassied Plus 4s, with an ash-framed aluminium body on a ladder chassis and sliding-pillar front suspension. Soichiro Honda once reckoned the world had half a dozen car companies, and then Morgan, and we know exactly what he meant.
Under the louvred bonnet sits a Ford-sourced 2.0-litre four that's friendly and tractable from 1,500rpm. It's paired with a Mazda MX-5 five-speed that suits the car to a tee. The 2014 GDI upgrade made this the most powerful Plus 4 of its era at 154bhp, with extra refinement thrown in.
This one was first registered in May 2016 and wears cream paint over black leather, sitting on black wire wheels. A chrome luggage rack with a spare, a badge bar and a leather bonnet strap complete the period look. It's had one former keeper and has been in current ownership since 2019.
At 17,963 miles, it's averaged fewer than 2,000 miles a year, so there's plenty of B-road left in it. Call it a classic with most of the drawbacks of classic ownership removed, and one that looks every inch the part.

Summary
Cream paint, black leather, wire wheels and 154bhp up front: this Plus 4 nails the look and has the go to match. With under 18,000 miles, an MOT to July 2027 and a reportedly new battery, it's ready to use straight away.
Fancy a Morgan that's as happy at a summer show as on a Sunday B-road blast? This one deserves a very close look.
