Description

  • A particularly rare derivative of the early Bentley Mulsanne Turbo, this long wheelbase example is understood to be one of just 24 produced, of which only 20 were right-hand drive
  • Utilising essentially the long wheelbase Rolls-Royce Silver Spur body, the additional four inches of rear accommodation combined the formidable performance of Bentley’s newly turbocharged V8 with even greater levels of passenger comfort
  • Supplied new through Jack Barclay of London on 19/06/1985 to Stanley Tollman, South African-born hospitality and tourism visionary who founded the Travel Corporation (Trafalgar, Contiki, Uniworld and the luxury Red Carnation Hotel Collection) and was chauffeur driven during his ownership
  • The Bentley initially resided at The Chesterfield Mayfair before subsequently being shipped to Guernsey for Mr Tollman and his wife to use when visiting their hotel interests on the island
  • Finished in Royal Blue over a complementary blue interior appropriately specified for its chauffeur-driven role, factory options are understood to include rear picnic tables, an in-car telephone for rear passengers and bespoke walnut drinks cabinets
  • Powered by Bentley's legendary 6.75-litre V8, offering the effortless performance and refinement for which the marque is renowned
  • Accompanied by its original handbooks, copies of a plethora of invoices from Bentley dating back to new, a copy of the original Bill of Sale, previous MOT Certificates, its original radio and trickle charge set
  • Combining remarkable rarity, fascinating provenance and the effortless performance that established the Mulsanne Turbo as a very different kind of Bentley, this exceptional long wheelbase example represents a fascinating opportunity for the marque enthusiast or collector
