- In current ownership since 2021
- MOT valid until June 2027
The Appeal
Introduced to celebrate a year on the British Market, the MX-5 Limited Edition was finished in a true Best-of-British Racing Green over tan, with BBS alloy wheels and wood-trimmed details conjuring up the golden age of the British sports car. Only 250 of them were ever produced, and they're one of the most cherished of that much-loved first generation.
This example, No. 219 of 250, has covered 44,006 miles and comes with a service history. It presents well throughout, with the full Limited Edition specification intact. Underneath, professional welding has addressed age-related corrosion. Mechanically, the vendor reports that it drives as a Mk1 MX-5 should, with a precise gear change and direct steering.
With its low mileage, documented history and increasingly rare Limited Edition specification, this MX-5 is a cracking, highly desirable example that's sure to attract plenty of attention at auction.

✓ We want a smooth transaction just as much as you do and as such we run all UK-registered cars and motorbikes for sale on Car & Classic through an online HPI check to verify that they show no insurance database markers for damage or theft, and have no finance owing, allowing you to bid with confidence.
✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.
