The Appeal
To mark its 60th year in 2006, Bentley created the elevated Diamond Edition Arnage. Appropriately, just 60 were available in either R or T trim, each featuring diamond-quilted leather, uprated 19in alloys, and bespoke veneers with handcrafted marquetry. With only 373 RHD Arnage Rs built, the Diamond Edition is a rare version of an already rare car.
The Arnage R was the comfort-oriented model, albeit one that had 451bhp on tap from its twin turbocharged 6.75L V8. This car’s Windsor Blue metallic paintwork and Oatmeal leather are the headlines for an extensive specification list that you can peruse in the photos. It is tidy with a good history file showing recent invoices by blue-chip marque specialists like Flying Spares, Silverlady and Praisad. They include over £6,600 of brake, electrical and other work in 2019, coil pack in 2022, and a new battery in 2023. The car was serviced by Prestige Services in 2022, and there is an invoice dated October 2024 for a Flying Spares service kit. The current MOT runs to May 2027.
The Arnage was Bentley’s first all-new car for decades and is the bridge between the firm’s old and new eras. This Diamond Edition is therefore a fitting celebration of what came before and what was to come.
