The Appeal

The advent of the E31 8 Series marked the start of a bold new direction for BMW. The Bavarian firm was best known for its performance saloons, but here was a low-slung grand touring coupé, designed to cross continents at speed. The 840Ci Sport Individual features a 4.4-litre M62 V8 engine mated with a five-speed automatic gearbox. Produced in 1999, the final year of E31 manufacture, this example is amongst the last 200 built worldwide and wears a rarely seen Individual colour and trim combination.
