The Appeal
Most Citroën Traction Avants are black. Some are a very dark blue or green; you'll sometimes see a beige one, but we'll wager you've never seen a Traction half so eye-catching as this example, resplendent in its original Lilac. A pioneer of front-wheel drive and monocoque construction, these quirky cars set Citroën on the path to greatness. This Slough-built car was suppled new to the UK market in right-hand drive, has had just two former registered keepers, and has been with its current custodian for the past half-century.
Subject to an extensive restoration, the Citroën presents beautifully, ready to meet its next owner, who we hope will feel compelled to keep it as long as the vendor has.
