The Appeal
Cars can only be original once, and this 450 SLC is a real treat for fans of all things factory-correct.
The Mercedes-Benz SLC is the fixed-head coupé sibling of the celebrated R107 SL roadster, sharing its styling and engine options and adding a longer wheelbase with an elegant pillarless roofline. Considerably rarer than its open-topped counterpart and increasingly sought after, the C107 offers grand touring refinement with a mechanical character that makes it rewarding to own and maintain.
Lady Annelore Owusu bought this particular example new in Germany in 1977 and kept it for nearly five decades before the current owner acquired it in 2025. Having been garaged throughout and sparingly used, it has covered just under 89,000 km. The vendor reports that everything on the car remains original, including the factory-fitted air conditioning, a desirable option that is seldom encountered on surviving examples.
A history file accompanies the car, comprising maintenance records, MOT history and repair invoices.
