The Appeal
Elegant, unhurried executive-style motoring was the focus of the day for Rover's P6, and it was a focus that rewarded in spades. These handsome cars became aspirational machines, gazed at with envy by neighbours as they glided along the streets in comfort.
With its advanced de Dion rear suspension, base-unit construction and clean David Bache styling, the P6 offered a level of engineering sophistication that belied its modest positioning. The single-carburettor SC variant provided a smooth, dependable powerplant well suited to relaxed touring, and the car continues to garner plenty of love today.
Having been cared for by just three former registered keepers and garaged for many years, this 1968 car is highly original and highly desirable.
