The Appeal
For some W463 buyers, the AMG G63’s 577bhp isn’t quite enough. For them, there is the BRABUS G800. We’re in the camp that suggests that the standard truck’s 0-60mph from standstill in a supercar-bating 4.5secs is plenty quick enough and that’s why we applaud this 2019 G63. It looks like a G800 thanks to a $89,000 body conversion, exhaust and suspension modifications, but it retains the largely standard mechanical running gear. We suspect that away from a track, in regular driving, nobody else will know…
The Brabus-ification of this W463 builds on the very high factory specification. It is finished in the popular Designo Magno Matt Black, which is matched with a black AMG interior featuring piano veneers. If you’ve checked the photos, you won’t have missed the black Vossen alloys, which we’re told cost £10,000 on their own.
We’re told it has been serviced regularly, including a recent visit to a Mercedes main dealer. The last MOT confirms the low mileage and shows no advisories. This is a seriously bespoke, likely one-of-a-kind W463 G63 that would be hard to recreate without spending serious money.
The vendor says:
“This is an opportunity to own an extremely rare, high-specification Brabus 800 that attracts attention wherever it goes. A genuine head-turner offering the perfect combination of luxury, exclusivity, and outstanding performance. First to see will appreciate the quality and condition of this exceptional example. This is a total one off and has lots of road presence.”

It’s a testament to Mercedes’ designers that a vehicle that owes such a clear debt to its original, utilitarian G-Wagon roots can also work so well as a pumped-up sporting SUV. This example, of course, takes things even further with that stand-out Brabus G800 body kit.
The Designo Magno Matt Black paintwork is a popular modern choice, here augmented with a set of expensive Vossen 22in alloys. Inside the interior is largely standard G63, so very highly specified, with piano veneers and some Brabus extras.
Inside and out, this low-mileage G63 is in good order. It’s seven years old so inevitably there are a few signs of light age, which you can pick up in the photos.
The Mechanics
- 577bhp M177 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine
- 9-speed AMG Speedshift automatic transmission
- 4MATIC AWD system
- Brabus suspension and exhaust modifications
- The vendor reports no known mechanical issues
- No advisories on MOT
- Most recently serviced by a Mercedes-Benz main dealer
Beneath the boxy bonnet of this G63 lies the 577bhp twin-turbo V8 M177 engine, shared with top-end AMG and Mercedes models like the AMG GT and S63 AMG. It also forms the basis of Aston Martin’s current engine range.
Illustrious company, then, and sufficient to give this planted AWD SUV the sort of performance to match the cream of European supercars. We’re told that it has been well maintained, including regular servicing. The vendor advises that it was recently serviced by a Mercedes main dealer. The MOT runs to October 2026. It contains no advisories, and the seller tells us that the car has no faults.
