Description
KEY FACTS
- This Audi RS2 Avant is a sought-after modern classic performance car, which was the genesis of the fast estate genre for Audi.
- It is powered by a 2.2-litre turbocharged five-cylinder engine producing up to 311bhp, which is sent to the road via the Quattro four-wheel drive system and a six-speed manual gearbox.
- It is an original UK-delivered example, and the car’s odometer indicates 134,524 miles from new.
- The car has covered only around 1,600 miles in the last 13 years, and it has been carefully dry stored.
EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES
- The consequence of cooperation between Audi and Porsche, the RS2 utilised Audi’s 80 Avant as its underpinnings, to create the first fast RS product, which spawned the acclaimed Audi RS performance line.
- The Audi RS2 is a rare car, with fewer than 3,000 examples delivered worldwide. The majority of these were left-hand drive examples, making this car even more desirable in UK-delivered right-hand drive guise.
- Specified in Volcano Black, this RS2 was ordered with the full black leather interior, and features air conditioning, and front and rear electric windows.
- This example remains original and unmodified, save for the aftermarket Alpine sound system that has been fitted.
- Accompanying the car is the original book pack, wallet, including the stamped maintenance record, plus numerous receipts and invoices, and the factory tool kit.
CONDITION
- Please refer to the photo gallery to assess the exterior and interior condition.
- Specific notes from the seller include: some minor blemishes on the side skirts behind the front wheels, and a parking dent a few inches below the wing mirror.
- The most recent MOT test took place on 15 October 2025 at 133,087 miles, resulting in a clean first-time pass with no advisories.
SERVICE HISTORY
- A set of brand-new tyres was fitted in January 2022 at approximately 130,000 miles, the seller also notes that the off-side front outer CV boot, auxiliary belts were replaced, the front lower suspension arm bushes were replaced with Powerflex items, and the sum plug seal was replaced.
- It was previously serviced during December 2021 at 129,093 miles by marque specialist AMD Technik. The work comprised an engine oil and filter change, along with the replacement of the brake fluid, the battery and some vacuum pipes. The headlights were also removed and cleaned, a structure was fabricated for the rear roof lining, and the suspension was given a full check-over at the same time.
- Prior to this, the car was serviced in March 2020, again at AMD Technik which included an oil and oil filter, pollen filter and air filter change. The cam belt and water pump, auxiliary belt with tensioner and idler pulley, and crankshaft oil seal were also replaced, and the car was fitted with a set of new wipers.
