KEY FACTS

  • This B9-generation Audi RS5 is a highly distinctive and exceptionally rare ABT-enhanced high-performance coupe, combining Audi Sport's twin-turbocharged V6 powertrain with the limited-production RS5-R conversion package, which was restricted to just 50 examples worldwide.
  • It is powered by a 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged V6 driving all four wheels through an eight-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission with paddle shift.
  • Featuring ABT Power S engine management upgrades, output was increased from 450hp and 600Nm to 530hp and 690Nm, enabling a claimed 0-62mph time of 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 174mph (280km/h).
  • This example was first registered in July 2017 and has been owned by the seller since new.
  • The car was converted to RS5-R specification by Project Customs Ltd in Leeds and is understood by the seller to be one of only two examples built for the UK market.
  • The odometer shows a modest 20,163 miles from new.
  • Please note: VAT relief was originally granted on this car due to it being adapted for a disabled driver, and if the next owner has the same status then the VAT relief can be carried over. However, for any other subsequent owner, this is not a VAT-qualifying vehicle. The ‘hammer price’ includes VAT.

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

  • Unveiled by ABT Sportsline ahead of its public debut at the 2018 Geneva International Motor Show, the RS5-R package combined significant powertrain, chassis and aerodynamic enhancements with a production run limited to only 50 examples worldwide.
  • The exterior is finished in Misano Red with contrasting black accents, complemented by extensive gloss carbon-fibre aerodynamic components.
  • Inside, the cabin features black leather and Alcantara upholstery with contrasting red stitching, embroidered ABT logos on the front headrests and ‘RS5-R’ logos on the front seat backs, red seat belts, diamond-quilted seat inserts, ABT-branded diamond-quilted leather floor mats, and brushed aluminium and carbon-fibre trim.
  • It rides on a set of 21-inch ABT Sport GR twin 10-spoke forged alloy wheels finished in gloss-black with red lips, framing red RS-branded brake callipers, and fitted with Continental SportContact 6 tyres.
  • Equipment includes LED headlights and driving lights, front and rear parking sensors, a reversing camera, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, cruise control, three-zone automatic air conditioning, electrically adjustable heated front seats with two-position driver memory and massage function, switchable driving modes, and a central infotainment system with satellite navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.
  • Modifications include an ABT front lip, front flicks, front grille frame with RS5-R logo, side air outlets, rear carbon-fibre spoiler, rear diffuser, rear carbon-fibre bumper treatment, bespoke ABT exhaust system, engine management upgrade, carbon-fibre mirror covers, and a carbon-fibre flat-bottom steering wheel.
  • The ABT performance package increased power by 80hp and torque by 90Nm over the standard RS5, while also incorporating an additional water-cooling package and revised engine calibration.
  • Chassis enhancements included ABT sports anti-roll bars and height-adjustable suspension springs, developed to sharpen handling while retaining everyday usability.
  • A bespoke ABT muffler system has been fitted, featuring four 102mm carbon-fibre tailpipes, as well as a Scorpion X-Series immobiliser.
  • The car will be accompanied by servicing documentation, maintenance invoices, the V5C, the current MOT certificate, and two keys.
