Description

Highlights

  • Car 91 of the 215 pre-facelift MG ZT260 V8 models produced
  • Potent hand-built RWD 260bhp classic British saloon
  • Tidy and usable car with scope to improve
  • MOT valid until November 2025

The Appeal

The Mustang-powered MG ZT and its 75 sibling were the last of a certain type of rumbly, British-built saloon that began with the P5B and included the brilliant SD1 Vitesse. These RWD cars were virtually hand-built and just 883 left the works. Only 215 were early, pre-facelift cars like this one. It is car number 91.

Finished in Starlight Silver with black leather and elevated ‘SE’ trim, this tidy and usable car would be perfect for smoking the family around in or startling trackday enthusiasts. It features some choice graphics and bolted, five-spoke anodised alloys to dial up the visual drama.

The vendor describes it as ‘needing TLC’ but with MOT to November 2025, there is nothing between the buyer and enjoying one of MG’s greatest creations. These cars feel like sure-fire future classics, and this car would be a good entry point for a buyer who likes a light project.

The vendor says:

The ZT260 is a rare vehicle, which has suspension designed by Pro Drive, a tried and tested V8 from Ford and purely British interior design and subtle styling. This is a well-used example, which would benefit from some TLC.”
