The Appeal

The Buick Type 35 Tourer was one of the first big motoring successes in the USA. Powered by a 2,420 cc four-cylinder engine, the Type 35 was a substantial and capable touring car for its day, with an overhead-valve engine that stood apart from its contemporaries. It's this machine that solidified Buick's reputation for top-notch build quality.

This 1912 example is UK-registered and comes with notable provenance. It has participated in the London to Brighton Classic Car Run (as a post-1905 entrant) and enjoyed a moment of screen fame, featuring in the 1974 TV movie production of 'The Canterville Ghost' alongside David Niven — photographs from the production are available. Supporting documents and photographs accompany the vehicle, with additional material to follow.
