Description

Background:
Introduced in 1999, the Boxster S built on the success of Porsche's first-generation mid-engined roadster by introducing a larger 3.2-litre flat-six engine, uprated brakes and suspension, and a six-speed manual gearbox. Delivering balanced handling, strong performance and everyday usability, the Boxster S quickly established itself as one of the most rewarding open-top sports cars of its era. Today, well-maintained manual examples continue to offer an engaging driving experience and excellent value in the modern classic market.

The Car:
First registered in 2001, this Porsche Boxster S is finished in Lapis Blue with a contrasting Graphite leather interior. Equipped with the desirable 3.2-litre flat-six engine and six-speed manual gearbox, it has remained with the same owner for the past twenty years and has been regularly maintained in Yorkshire.

Showing fewer than 72,500 warranted miles, the car was serviced and MOT'd in May 2026 and is presented ready for summer enjoyment. On the road it performs well, with strong performance from the flat-six engine and a smooth, precise gearchange. The tyres are in very good condition, with the front pair fitted in 2019 and the rear pair in 2024. The electrically operated convertible roof functions correctly, operating smoothly when the vehicle is stationary with the handbrake applied.

The paintwork retains complete coverage from bumper to bumper but has lost some of its original lustre over time. There are light swirl marks, together with two small stress fractures caused by minor contact. Prospective buyers are encouraged to study the photographs, particularly around the rear wheel arches and the rear sections of the sills, where there are areas that may benefit from cosmetic attention in due course. While these do not require immediate rectification, they are worthy of consideration given the car's age.

Offering genuine sports car performance, long-term ownership and an attractive guide price, this Boxster S presents an appealing opportunity for someone seeking an enjoyable and usable modern classic. The attractive registration number, 3456 UP, will remain with the car.
