The Appeal
47 years after the last Midget rolled off the line, here is a chance to buy what amounts to a brand new car. That’s not because it’s spent decades in a dry barn unused; instead, it’s something far better - a freshly restored car where the work has touched virtually every single part of the car.
It’s a bold claim, but the photos back it up. The vendor bought it in 2024 as a project car and subsequently restored it, completing the work a few weeks ago. The pre-restoration photos show just how big a project it was. We’re told that £8,000 was expended on parts alone.
Now finished in smart Inca Yellow with black interior, this factory-correct car is surely one of the best late-model Midgets available anywhere.
The vendor says:
“Superb example of a fully restored MG Midget in iconic Inca Yellow. Starts, runs and drives like it should. A fully documented, pictorial history of the restoration is available to any prospective buyers.”
