Description
- Introduced as the successor to Panther's Lima, the Kallista combined traditional British roadster styling with proven Ford mechanicals, with the 2.9-litre V6 amongst the most desirable and powerful derivatives
- First registered in 1989 and originally supplied by Panther Concessionaires Ltd of Essex
- Enjoyed over many years by dedicated Panther enthusiasts and club members, including a former Panther Car Club press officer, giving this particular example an interesting connection with the marque's enthusiast community
- Subject to a comprehensive restoration over the past five years, including a repaint in its original Bright Panther Red and the rebuilding of its fuel-injected 2.9-litre Ford V6 engine and gearbox
- The interior has been extensively refurbished with black leather upholstery featuring Panther's winged emblem embroidered in red, complemented by coordinating black and red door cards and a new mohair hood with matching red and black neck roll
- Further attention to detail includes new walnut veneer to the dashboard, glovebox, door cappings, lower dashboard and heater panel, together with a tonneau cover and matching rear spare-wheel cover
- Accompanied by an in-depth history file containing numerous invoices, previous MOT Certificates, its original owner's handbook and, importantly, the original Bill of Sale
- With its comprehensive restoration, rebuilt V6 drivetrain, attractive original colour scheme and long-standing connections to the Panther enthusiast community, this is a particularly appealing example of one of Britain's most distinctive low-volume sports cars
