The C4 range of saloons and estates, produced between 1994-1997, was a complete redesign of the fifth generation Audi 100
On its debut, the S6 Avant was amongst the quickest German estates you could buy, hitting 60mph in 6.1 seconds on its way to 151mph
It featured a 227bhp, turbocharged 2.2-litre inline-five cylinder, a 6-speed manual gearbox and Audi’s well established Quattro all-wheel drive with the Torsen centre-differential
