Description
KEY FACTS
- An FIA-compliant example of the rare 1966 TVR Grantura 1800S, which has achieved various race wins in the Equipe GTS series with TTP Performance.
- Power comes from a race-prepared 1.8-litre inline-four with twin Weber Carburettors and paired with a four-speed manual racing-specification gearbox and a limited slip differential.
- It was converted to a race car around ten years ago, and has spent the last six years running at the front of the Equipe GTS series with TTP Performance.
- The engine was refreshed in 2025 and reportedly has only 60 minutes of run time under its belt since.
- The odometer shows 46,206 miles, however this is not warranted.
EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES
- This Grantura 1800S is finished in white, with blue racing stripes and ‘42’ roundels on the doors and bonnet, as well as a white windscreen strip with various sponsorship decals.
- It rides on a set of 15-inch Minilite-style alloy wheels, wrapped in Dunlop Racing tyres.
- Equipment includes an Alpha three-spoke steering wheel, a roll cage, interior and exterior battery master switches, a Cobra bucket seat with a Schroth Racing harness, Smiths dials, an MSD Digital 6AL ignition control box and a fire extinguisher.
- The engine features steel crankshafts, and upgraded conrods and pistons as well as a cross flow cylinder head.
- The vehicle will be accompanied by a folder of invoices, results and expenditure from the last six years.
CONDITION
- Please refer to the photo gallery to assess the exterior and interior condition.
- Specific notes from the seller include: there are some stone chips at the front and some cracking on the fibreglass.
SERVICE HISTORY
- This Grantura’s most recent service was completed in March 2025, where TTP Performance refreshed and dynamo-tested the engine.
- The car has also benefited from pre and post-race maintenance during each outing.
SUMMARY
This is an FIA-compliant example of the rare 1966 TVR Grantura 1800S, which has achieved numerous race wins in the Equipe GTS series with TTP Performance. Benefiting from an engine refresh in 2025, it would make a competitive entrant into a raft of historic racing series, and a smart addition to any motorsport-focused collection.
