Description

KEY FACTS

  • This Ferrari 456M GTA is a well-presented example of the marque’s modern classic 2+2 grand tourer, finished in a handsome and lesser-seen colour scheme and boasting a detailed Ferrari main dealer and specialist maintenance history.
  • It is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.5-litre V12, delivering around 436bhp to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission.
  • Recorded as being manufactured in 2000, this UK-market 456 M GTA was first registered in January 2001, and was acquired by the seller in July 2023.
  • The odometer shows a relatively modest 46,892 miles from new.

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

  • As denoted by the ‘M’ model-name suffix, this is a ‘Modificata’ facelifted 456, which features fog lights in the front grille as well as a carbon-fibre bonnet, which was the first commercial automotive application of carbon-fibre. It also features the reprofiled dashboard with circular vents, redesigned seats, and a new stereo.
  • It is understood that just 139 examples of the 456M were built in right-hand drive and with the automatic transmission meriting the GTA badge.
  • The car is finished in Blu Tour de France over a Sabbia leather-trimmed cabin complete with Cavallino-embossed headrests, a contrasting black upper dashboard and carpets, and blue stitching.
  • It rides on a set of 17-inch five-spoke alloy wheels fitted with mixed tyres.
  • Equipment includes electrically adjustable front seats, air conditioning with automatic climate control, adjustable suspension and Sport Mode, electric windows, electrically operated door mirrors, a heated rear screen and a Ferrari-branded Becker FM/AM cassette stereo with 6-disc CD changer.
  • The car will be accompanied by its original Ferrari owner’s book pack, an extensive file of invoices, a Ferrari toolkit, a tyre repair kit, and two keys with immobilisers (including the original red keyfob) and a copy of the original Ferrari 456GT and 456M GTA specifications book.

CONDITION

  • Please refer to the photo gallery to assess the exterior and interior condition.
  • Specific notes from the seller include: the second owner repaired some minor damage to the front of the car. The 2014 invoice from Classic Restorations Ltd will be included in the history file outlining the works completed.
  • The seller also notes that there are several small stone chips visible on the front bumper.
  • The car’s last MOT test was conducted on 5 September 2025 at 46,885 miles, which resulted in a first-time pass with no advisories.

SERVICE HISTORY

  • This 456M GTA’s most recent maintenance was carried out in February 2025 at 46,874 miles by Hartgrove Garage. This included replacing the upper and lower chain guides, the oil pump drive chain, the front main crank seal, the timing case gasket, and the top radiator hose, as well as changing the engine oil and fitting a new oil filter.
  • Prior to this, in December 2024 at 46,874 miles, Hartgrove Garage replaced the torque converter, and in April 2024, they addressed a leaking radiator and a misfire, as well as replacing the cambelts, and changing the oil filter, engine oil, and spark plugs.
