  • Excellent overall condition, a real eye-catcher worthy of a place at any show

  • Re sprayed to an exceptionally high standard

The Appeal

The Hillman Super Minx was the Rootes Group's more spacious and refined alternative to the standard Minx, offering families a comfortable 1,600cc saloon with willing performance and extra legroom compared to its smaller counterpart. It was more expensive, more luxuriant and globally improved from top to bottom, and offered very pleasant road manners. Today, these honest 1960s British saloons are increasingly scarce, making well-preserved examples all the more appealing.

This 1964 example comes to us as a real timewarp classic, retaining its original instruments and switchgear, all of which are reported to be in working order. Recent mechanical attention includes a new clutch and four new tyres, and the vendor notes that it's a fine, turnkey classic as a result - though the carburettor would benefit from a service in due course, but it runs and drives really well keeping up with modern traffic.
Having been in the current ownership for approximately four and a half years and stored in a locked unit for much of that time, this Super Minx is now ready for a new keeper to put it back into regular use.
