Description
KEY FACTS
- This 987.2-generation Porsche Boxster is a dynamic and exciting roadster, offered for sale by its first and only owner from new.
- It is powered by a naturally aspirated 2.9-litre flat-six, delivering around 251bhp to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission.
- This UK-market example was first registered in April 2009, and has had a single private owner since new.
- The odometer shows 65,537 miles from new.
EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES
- This 987.2-era Boxster is finished in the vibrant hue of Guards Red with contrasting black side decals, over a black leather-trimmed interior, featuring embossed Porsche crests on the headrests, and silver, brushed aluminium, and body-coloured trim.
- It rides on a set of 18-inch ‘Boxster S’ alloy wheels with hand-painted red accents, shod in mixed Bridgestone tyres.
- Equipment includes a top-tinted windscreen, xenon headlights, rear parking sensors, air conditioning, an electrically operated rear spoiler, a switchable exhaust system, Porsche Stability Management, a wind deflector, and heated seats.
- This example comes with a set of ‘Speedster Humps’ which attach behind the roll bars. The seller notes that they were originally on a previous Boxster, and the main fitting system is levers with stems into fixed lugs set into the folded-down convertible frame, otherwise used for a winter hardtop. When transferred to this car, one of the lugs was not perfectly fitted, and the lever does not quite reach the fully locked position. A ring and cable tie have been successfully used for many years to overcome the issue. Knowing this, the new keeper of the vehicle could consider replacing the lug.
- This Boxster has also been fitted with a Kenwood double-DIN media system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
- The car comes with two keys, a warning triangle, the owner’s manuals in a black leather wallet, the stamped service booklet, and the V5C.
CONDITION
- Please refer to the photo gallery to assess the exterior and interior condition.
- Specific notes from the seller include: a previous car parking scrape on one of the sills, which was repaired by a Porsche body shop with a lifetime warranty. A new mohair convertible roof was fitted in July 2024.
- The car’s last MOT test was conducted on 16 April 2025 at 64,974 miles, which resulted in a first-time pass with no advisories.
SERVICE HISTORY
- This Boxster’s most recent routine maintenance was carried out in August 2023 at 60,338 miles by Porsche specialist JGC, which consisted of an intermediate service.
- Technicians at JGC Porsche Specialist carried out a major service in August 2021 at 56,589 miles, which included the spark plugs and drive belt being replaced.
- Another intermediate service was performed in May 2019 at 51,452 miles by JGC Porsche Specialist.
