The Appeal

The W140 CL600 was Mercedes-Benz' ultimate Stuttgart flagship in its day. Powered by the silky 6.0-litre M120 V12 and equipped with features such as double-glazed windows and electric rear blinds, it was a car of choice for heads of state and government echelons alike. With a list price of £110,000 when new, it was a serious statement of intent from Stuttgart, and is still more than capable of impressing enthusiasts some thirty years later.

This particular example was originally registered in Singapore before being imported to the UK, where it now sits on UK plates with a valid MOT until April 2027. The current owner purchased the car in July 2017 with 14,438 miles showing and has covered only approximately 2,000 miles since, the car forming part of a wider collection of classic vehicles. Service documentation from Singapore accompanies the car, along with invoices covering two major services and additional work.
