The Appeal
The Ferrari 458 Italia needs little introduction. Powered by a naturally aspirated 4.5-litre V8 producing 562bhp and mated to a lightning-fast seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, it is widely regarded as one of Maranello's finest modern creations, a car that marked the pinnacle of Ferrari's naturally aspirated mid-engined V8 lineage before the advent of turbocharging.
What elevates this particular 2012 example beyond the ordinary is its extraordinary rarity. Finished in Rosso Vinaccia, a deep, rich burgundy-red that is seldom seen, it is believed to be one of just two right-hand-drive UK cars in this colour. Paired with a Sabbia interior, the vendor believes this to be the only UK RHD car with this specific combination. Originally purchased new from H.R. Owen, the car reportedly benefits from a main dealer service history up until 2022, and was subsequently sold through Carrs of Exeter, another official Ferrari dealer, in 2021/22.
The car was recorded as a Category S insurance loss in October 2017 due to structural front offside damage, which was professionally repaired in 2018, with approximately 20,000 miles driven since.
Now showing 35,514 miles, this 458 Italia presents an opportunity to acquire a genuinely rare colour combination at a time when naturally aspirated Ferrari V8s continue to attract considerable enthusiasm.
