The Appeal

The second generation XF was virtually all new and notable for its lightweight aluminium architecture, delivering great handling, and longer wheelbase to allow increased rear legroom. As an antidote to its more common German rivals, the XF is a canny and rewarding buy.

With its R Sport specification and well-regarded Ingenium 2L diesel engine, this very tidy X260 has strong appeal. The black paintwork, with matching alloys, is in good order and the tasteful two-tone black and ivory interior shows few signs of use.

A useful print out of the digital service history shows regular servicing, all by Jaguar. The service intervals are every 20,000 miles but the vendor states that an oil and filter change is now recommended. The current MOT runs to April 2027 with no advisories. All in, a very smart and nicely specified example of these stylish Jaguars.

“The car has been in daily use by me starting first time every time. The gearbox and drive train are very smooth. The engine is running well. The car has a full Jaguar Service History as per the Jaguar print out. The Service interval on these engines is every 20’000 miles but I’m told you are best to get the oil and filter changed every 10’000 miles which would mean the car is now due an oil and filter change at a cost of circa £200.

“The car is a very sporty drive and looks very impressive on the road. I’ve really enjoyed running it for the last 7000 miles but I’ve now purchased a very low miliege XJ X351.”
