The Appeal
The Triumph TR250 is a rare, desirable iteration of the TR lineage - one that was built to bridge the gap across the Atlantic ocean and bring a specially-dedicated roadster to the lucrative American market. The resulting car was dedicated to meeting the US's tightening emissions controls, with a smooth 2.5-litre engine and nimble handling.
Produced for just one year in 1967-68, the TR250's limited run and US-focus makes right-hand drive examples exceptionally uncommon. As a result, this professionally converted example is bound to garner plenty of interest.
Having undergone a meticulous four-year, body-off restoration by its current owner (a former TWR employee), this TR250 represents a labour of love and technical expertise. The restoration philosophy focused on preserving originality where possible, using New Old Stock components when replacements were needed. With just 100 miles covered since the extensive rebuild, the result is simply excellent, and well worth your attention.
