The Appeal

Nissan’s well-regarded X-Trail clever bridges the gap between utilitarian AWD people carrier and luxury SUV. Much of that is down to the innovative All Mode 4x4 system, which allows full AWD mode or, in most driving, more economical FWD 2WD usability. Its unusual interior, notably the central dials, also offers just enough style to make it stand out from the crowd.

The 2.5L 4cyl 170bhp engine of this 2003 car is widely considered the motor of choice because it’s reliable and suitably powerful. This smartly presented high specification SVE pairs burgundy metallic paintwork with a well-kept beige leather interior. It is highly original and very preserved for a 23 year old car, largely due to the low mileage of 33,000 miles.

With just two evidently carefully keepers from new and a long, advisory-free MOT, this little-used SUV looks good and has plenty of miles left to enjoy.
