The Appeal
The W114 250 was among the first of Mercedes-Benz's "New Generation" saloons, replacing the Fintail models and establishing a design language that would define the marque for decades. It felt fiercely, fearlessly modern from top to bottom, with clean, unfussy lines and a block-featured silhouette that still turns heads more than half a century later.
Its current owner, a professional panel beater with over 40 years of experience, has comprehensively restored this car, with extensive attention paid to the underside, fasteners and structural areas. Mechanically, the engine and gearbox have been thoroughly inspected and rebuilt where necessary, with the suspension and brakes also overhauled.
Accompanied by a photographic record of the restoration work undertaken, this very attractive car has clearly been cherished and now offers an excellent prospect for its lucky new keeper.
