Description
KEY FACTS
- This Shelby GT350R is a powerful track-focused performance car, presented with very low mileage from new.
- It is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V8, delivering around 526bhp and 429lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission.
- This left-hand-drive GT350R has covered just 8,510 miles from new.
- It is understood to have originally been delivered to the USA before being imported into the UK, where it was re-registered in September 2020. The seller believes the car was imported from new with no previous US owners.
EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES
- Based on the Mustang, the Shelby-tuned GT350R features a bespoke 5.2-litre V8 with a flat-plane crankshaft.
- The ‘R’ package adds a larger carbon-fibre rear wing, a functional front splitter, carbon-fibre wheels, track-tuned MagneRide suspension, Brembo performance brakes, and a rear seat delete, all engineered to reduce weight and enhance handling.
- This example is finished in Magnetic, offset by twin white racing stripes with a red outline.
- The cabin is trimmed in black leather and Alcantara with red stitching, and features factory-fitted Recaro sport seat.
- It rides on a set of 19-inch carbon-fibre wheels, housing red callipers and fitted with Michelin tyres.
- Equipment includes a reversing camera, cruise control, dual-zone climate control, launch control, a switchable exhaust, the Electronic Package, and a central infotainment system with satellite navigation.
- Upgrades include premium Shelby footwell and boot mats, an aluminium Mishimoto performance radiator, engine oil catch-cans, rear-brace bar, carbon-finished pneumatic bonnet struts, and a front tow strap .
- Accompanying the sale is the owner’s manual and GT350 supplement, a replacement OEM front splitter, a carbon-fibre interior conversion kit, a custom carbon-fibre and Alcantara-trimmed steering wheel with red stitching, tyre inflator, and a windscreen sunshade, a replacement window motor and assorted service consumables.
CONDITION
- Please refer to the photo gallery to assess the exterior and interior condition.
- Specific notes from the seller include: stone chips on the front bumper and rear wing, scuffs on two of the wheels, and scratches on the plastic trim at the bottom of both seats, which was caused by the rear brace bar.
- The front splitter tip has been bent.
- The paintwork on the bonnet has been corrected, the stripes have been replaced, and a scratch was repaired on the passenger door.
- The interior trim pieces have been upgraded to soft-touch, red-stitched items, including the kick panels, armrest, and centre console, and the handbrake and gear shift gaiters have been replaced with red-stitched pieces.
- The air conditioning is non-functional, and the passenger side window motor may need sealing or replacing, the window can on occasion move down and then back up a quarter/inch.
- The most recent MOT test was conducted on 20 February 2025 at 8,434 miles, resulting in a clean first-time pass.
SERVICE HISTORY
- The car was last serviced in May 2024 at 7,418 miles by St Paul’s Garage Sobo, who also installed the upgraded radiator.
- Prior to this, services were carried out in 2023 by St Paul’s Garage Sobo, in 2022 by Hendy Performance, and in 2021 by GT101.
- During the seller’s four-year ownership, the driver’s window motor, auxiliary drive belt, and spark plugs have been replaced.
SUMMARY
The Shelby GT350R was launched in 2016 as a modern-day reimagination of the 1965 original, which took the motorsport world by storm with its series of successes on the track. This is one of the few examples to have found their way out of their native North American home, and it has since been fitted with a couple of well-chosen upgrades. Driven for just 8,510 miles, it would now make a natural addition to any performance-focused collection and is sure to draw plenty of interest at car shows and events.
